Journey to the Golden Ticket Missy Bon Bon way

April 16, 2010, Friday, more than 100 Kagay-anons woke up very early to witness the opening of Missy Bon Bon Breadshop–the latest craze in town because of their mouth-watering gelato.

Located at Rosario Strip, Limketkai Center, Cagayan De Oro City, the breadshop attracted hundreds of people in its opening with their Golden Ticket marketing campaign— giving the first customer of the day a one year supply of goodies.

It was a hit as the first three customers even decided to camp out since last night. That’s what you call adventure! Less of words, more of photos, here’s the JOURNEY TO THE GOLDEN TICKET.

Missy Bon Bon awards Golden Ticket

You’ve certainly tasted if not devoured the newest dessert craze in town–the Missy Bon Bon gelato.

If you’ve been enjoying just buying from their little stall at the 2nd floor of Big R, FUN is about to get bigger only hours from now.

At 7 am tomorrow, the first to buy gelato from their newest ice cream shop outside LimKetKai Mall fronting McDonald’s will be awarded with a Golden Ticket. It may not be a ticket to fame in Hollywood like American Idol’s but it’s definitely worth sleeping early tonight.

What the Golden Ticket is
“The golden ticket winner will get to choose not only from Missy Bon Bon’s great selection of sweet dough bread, but also from Missy Bon Bon’s Gelato showcase.” -Update from company’s Facebook page

To get the Golden Ticket, the first customer for the day must have a minimum purchase of P200.

The second customer tomorrow will have a silver ticket. The third to 100th customers will have a bronze ticket. Here’s a rundown of the rewards:

Golden Ticket: Free 1 year supply of Missy Bon Bon Goodies
Silver Ticket: Free 6 month supply of Gelato
Bronze Ticket: Free 1 month supply of Goodies

Dahilayan Adventure Park Bukidnon

Local and foreign tourists who are staying in Cagayan de Oro are invited to experience the breathtaking and heart pumping zip line adventures at the Dahilayan Adventure Park.

The newly opened national park, which is 4,700 feet above sea level is located in Manolo Fortich, Bukidnon, just 40 kilometers away from Cagayan de Oro city proper.

Dahilayan Adventure Park is famous for it’s longest dual zip zone consisting of dual carrying cables each 840 meters long from point to point, safety cable is also 840 meters long. Total length of cables is 2,460 meters. Elevation drop is 100 meters with estimated speed ranging from 60-100 KPH.

Cagayan de Oro Brownout Schedule (April 11 – 19, 2010)

Cities all over Mindanao especially Cagayan de Oro is still experiencing weekly scheduled rotational brownouts due to the continuing power supply curtailment that was imposed by the National Grid Corporation of the Philippines. The 5-hour rotational brownouts in the city have already affected a lot of establishments that depend on electricity to run their business. Generator sets are very in demand nowadays as this helps provide an alternative source of electricity during brownouts. Now another schedule is being released by CEPALCO to all its consumers regarding the weekly scheduled blackouts that will be occurring from April 11-19, 2010.

CDO gets Egged

The young people had work to do, morning ‘til sundown: exchange smiles and give away eggs.

Thursday, April 8—expectant, energized, and enthusiastic hands and feet gave away colored plastic eggs as invitations to the City of Golden Friendship to join in the first ever “Easter Friday” experience on April 9, 7 pm at Victory Place (3rd Floor Bo’s Velez). The group of students were members of Every Nation Campus Ministries.

The first eggs, accompanied with shy smiles, seemed the hardest to give, but excitement sent them walking around the campuses, group-hopping to student leaders, friends, familiar faces and acquaintances. Most of them even asked for more eggs. The rides to malls, radio stations, food outlets and other establishments proved to be ecstatic and rewarding as generous hearts responded to the cause.
