Cagayan de Oro’s finest rock bands will be gathering on the 28th of August 2010 for a one-night only celebration at the Capitol Grounds Tennis Court, Velez Street in this city. The Unityfest 7 rock concert is an annual collaboration of CDO’s premiere local rock bands as part of the Kagay-an 2010 festival.
Featured bands from CDO who will be making a lot of noise are: Teachers stand together, Picking up carrots, The Superflirts, Hoodswhite, Almost Satellite, Calypso, Eula, Red Whisky, Poetry of Water and KBC. There will also be Campbell, one of the featured band from Cebu, Picturefulled from Manila, and Iligan City’s pride Taciturn.

DISCOGRAPHY Events and Promotions will be holding a Tribal Beat Fiesta party on August 28, 2010 at the Bridge Grill Bar and Cafe (formerly Skypark Restobar) at the 2nd Level of Limketkai Center.
The event will feature the Philippine’s top performing disc jockey: DJ Elmer Dado, and the country’s premiere tribal group, Grupo Tribale, with DJ Matthew Carbonnel, the resident disc jockey of the newest and hottest super club, Club Icon in Manila.
DJ Jerrie H. from Amsterdam will also join the party, which is certainly a night to watch out for, as the country’s most renowned DJs will make you dance to the festive vibe.

Once again the city of Golden Friendship will be celebrating its annual fiesta celebration in honor of patron saint St. Augustine. Another “old but new” salon has opened this month. It’s old because it’s the X Salon most Kagay-anon men and women loved. It’s new because it’s now located at the 2nd floor of TILT building with a new name–U Salon.
U Salon’s building is still located along Velez-Hayes Street. As a matter of fact, it’s just beside its old location now leased by a Christian church, Victory Christian Fellowship.
The new place of one of Cagayan De Oro’s salons boasts of a more homy atmosphere. Their regular haircut is still at P180 and that still comes with shampoo treatment.
