The city of Golden Friendship is once again celebrating its annual fiesta in honor of the city’s beloved patron Saint Augustine. The Cagayan de Oro Festival 2011, which aims to promote Cagayan de Oro City and the surrounding areas globally as an investment and tourism destination, is brought to us by the city government of Cagayan de Oro and Promote CDO Foundation, Inc. Foreign tourists and local visitors from nearby cities and provinces are invited to join the Kagay-an Festival 2011.

Be there to witness and see your favorite PBA players’ Cyrus Baguio and Jimmy Alapag play basketball live. This game is just part of the elimination phase of the PBA Commissioner’s Cup. Tickets are sold at 600php for lower box and 300php for upper box.

Looks like 2011 is a good start for the 3D Digital trend here in Cagayan de Oro as Gaisano Mall is also joining the bandwagon with the opening of their first 3D cinema in this city. I’ve posted yesterday that Limketkai Mall will be opening their 3D theater on February 2, 2011. While Gaisano Mall’s Cinema 2 had it’s soft opening last week with movie tickets sold at only 200php with free popcorn. Now there’s officially three competing 3D cinemas in CDO, how cool is that? You can now watch your favorite 3D movie anywhere you like. Gaisano’s cinema 2 will also be showing the movie ‘Tangled’ and more 3D movies in the months to come. Yay!
